This is a functional sculpture! No two mugs are alike, each mug is hand painted therefore there are slight imperfections present. The body of the mug is made from a groggy speckled clay the chain is made from a combination of clay and acrylic. The chain handle can support the mug while it is full of liquid however I do not reccomend holding the mug by the handle. Although the handle is fully functional it moves freely so it is a little awkward to hold, it is meant to be more of a "fidget" while holding the mug by the body. If the chain gets twisted do not force it out of place, it is easy to untwist with a little care.  Again this is a FUNCTIONAL SCULPTURE and should be treated as such, don't be afraid to use this mug, just take care while in use, cleaning etc. and it will last a very long time.
 
NOT Microwave safe. To ensure longevity of piece please hand wash only! This object is made to stand the test of time as long as it is properly cared for. Please reach out to me if you have any accidents and I would be happy to help come up with a soloution.
